- Spray tanning application applied by myself for you
- You can choose to have the Spray Tan in the nude or with your swimwear/underwear on. If swimwear/underwear is worn, you will need to wash it right after tanning session so that it does not stain.
- Each application lasts up to 10 days depending on your skin and daily activities. You can use self tanners ie. Bronzz Tan in a Can (SOLD HERE) to prolong tan.
- Airbrush Spray Tanning will enhance your existing tan
- Airbrush Tanning will tan even the fairest skin tones.
- Colour will develop and deepen 6-14 hours after your session.
- You can combine Spray Tanning with outdoors/UV tanning
Preparation for the Airbrush Spray Tan
1. Shower and exfoliate skin right
before Spray tanning session. Exfoliation will help remove dead skin cells, which do not tan. It will ensure a streak-free even tan for you.
Most scrubs leave a fine layer of smoothing silicones, moisturizers, lotions, or in some cases oils, on the skin surface. This helps the skin feel soft and smooth after the exfoliation. But (depending on your clients skin) this may also, in some cases, cause the tan to develop lighter, fade unevenly or fade faster. You may not "feel" this layer, but it is still present. That is what makes the skin feel soft and smooth to your touch, after the scrubbing action of the exfoliate.
A good, and inexpensive alternative is a pair of nylon exfoliating gloves, and a mild, non moisturizing clear gel soap. You can find the gloves in many drugstores, body product shops and mass merchandise stores. These are very easy to use, and allow the client to better exfoliate all areas evenly. Client can adjust pressure on the skin, based on the amount of exfoliation needed, or their skin sensitivity. The feet, hands, knees and elbows can scrubbed more heavily, as needed.
2. Wax/shave at least a few hours before tanning. Never Tan if you have broken skin
3. Make sure you DO NOT have any makeup, perfume, lotion, etc. on, and ensure your skin is completely dry before tanning session.
4. DO NOT use moisturizers, body oils, lotions, or perfume for at least 4 hours before airbrush tanning.
5. Wear loose-fitting, dark coloured clothing to your tanning session so that you do not sweat.
Post-tanning recommendations:
1. Allow approximately 5-10 minutes for the tanning solution to set before dressing. It is important that you wear loose fitting clothes after your session.
2. Wait 8–14 hours after your tan before showering, exercising/sweating or coming into contact with water.
3. Apply a water-based moisturizer OR Tan Extender Moisturizer (SOLD HERE) during the morning and evening after your first shower following your first tanning session. Allow 8–14 hours for the tanning solution to tan your skin before showering for best results. Moisturize only with water-based moisturizers OR Tan Extender daily thereafter. Hydrated skin is essential in maintaining a longer lasting tan.
4. Tan in a Can (SOLD HERE) & Self tanners may be used to pro-long tan so it can last a long time.
Maintenance Tanning Sessions
You can Spray Tan as often as you like. It is recommended that you Spray tan no sooner than 48 hours between sessions for best results. Your skin needs 6–48 hours to fully deepen.
